HOW DO DIRECT ACCESS PLATFORMS DIFFER FROM ONLINE OR WEB-BASED SYSTEMS?
 
Direct access trading platforms offer a variety of advantages over online or web-based systems including;
  • Direct market executions via level II access to full ECN books and market makers
  • AUTO-execution features enabling clients to pre-program certain criteria for automatically buying and selling stocks
  • Advanced intraday charting and analytical features including GANN, Fibonacci, and up to 100 technical indicators

With direct access technology, clients are able to receive split-second trade confirmations dramatically reducing slippage and improving bottom-line profitability.

DO YOUR AVAILABLE PLATFORMS OFFER FULL DIRECT ACCESS CAPABILITIES?

CAN I CONTINUE USING MY CURRENT PLATFORM FOR EXECUTION AND ANALYSIS?
 
Currently, WTC works with Realtick, Sterling and InstaQuote to offer sub-contracted trading with the ability to execute trades via level II direct access technology.  If you are currently using a direct access platform such as eSignal or TradeStation for analytics and/or execution, you can continue using your system to conduct market analysis, but must execute using one of the platforms currently listed in our Trading Software section.

HOW MUCH AM I CHARGED FOR MONTHLY SOFTWARE & EXCHANGE FEES?
 
Currently, sub-contracted traders able to choose between the following two direct access platforms:

*InstaQuote offered FREE with a minimum of 150 tickets or 200k shares per month.  All pricing rebates are credited to sub-contractor accounts by the designated broker-dealers.

Monthly exchange fees will range from $10 to $50 per month depending on the amount of data and supplemental services requested by the trader.  Click here for a complete list of fees involved with sub-contractor trading accounts.

ARE MONTHLY SOFTWARE FEES PRORATED?
 
Instaquote subscription fees are pro-rated.  Additionally, InstaQuote is offered FREE for the first 30-days.  Monthly software fees for Realtick are not pro-rated.  However, WTC will often negotiate software rebates based on total monthly trading volume with the selected broker-dealer.

WHAT ARE THE HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS FOR USING DIRECT ACCESS PLATFORMS?
 

Hardware requirements for the Realtick and InstaQuote platforms:

  • Processor: 1.5 GHz Pentium® IV or better

  • RAM: 512 MB

  • Hard Drive: 70 MB free hard drive space ON DRIVE C:

  • Video Card: 64 MB Video Memory (Single-monitor card); Multi-monitor support should have 128 MB per channel

  • Monitor: 17 inch high resolution, 1280x1024

  • OS Software: Microsoft® Windows® XP is preferred; Windows® 2000 is operational, but NOT recommended

DOES WTC OFFER TRAINING FOR THE AVAILABLE DIRECT ACCESS PLATFORMS?

WHAT ARE THE EXCHANGE FEES FOR A PROFESSIONAL AND NON-PROFESSIONAL SUBSCRIBER?
 

Non-professional subscriber exchange fees are as follows:

  • NASDAQ Level II  $15.00

  • NASDAQ Level I  $1.00

  • ARCA Book  $10.00

  • NYSE  $1.00

  • AMEX  $1.00

  • OPRA $1.00

Professional Subscribers are subject to additional monthly fees assessed by the exchanges. NYSE, AMEX, and OPRA bill the following fees directly to the Professional Subscriber for their first display device. Please contact the exchanges for the fees for additional display devices.

Additional Monthly Exchange Fees for Professional Subscribers:

  • AMEX $30.20

  • OPRA $32.25

  • NYSE $127.25
